Vacancy: SharePoint Administrator/ Support Lead

We have exciting new opportunities for SharePoint Support/Administrators in a growing Microsoft Partner company specialising in SharePoint and Office 365.

This role offers the exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to work in an environment where they will be supporting many different SharePoint Farm(s), Office 365 Tenants and our bespoke Intranet solution – ‘Mercury’.

The role will be primarily support focussed, taking ownership of our support desk and ticketing system, performing fixes and various SharePoint admin focussed tasks through direct communication with our clients by e-mail, phone and occasionally on-site if required.

The successful individual will need to communicate regularly with our developers, allocating tickets as required and following up on progress to ensure SLAs are met.

The role also covers the administration, maintenance and, configuration of all our internal software/hardware and SharePoint Farm(s). We are currently in the process of migrating our internal environments to Azure, so this is an exciting opportunity for the candidate to work within this space.

When SharePoint administration is not required, you will be responsible for carrying out configuration changes through the SharePoint UI and backend for client implementations of our Intranet solution.

The successful individual may be required to create Power User solutions for clients through technologies such as PowerApps, Microsoft Flow, SharePoint Designer etc.

The work will be mixed, and the candidate will be carrying out different tasks each day. With a variety of clients to support – there will never be a dull day!

The role will include (but not be limited) to the following:

  • Owning and leading our support desk.
  • Perform SharePoint On-Premises and Office 365 administration tasks.
  • Communicating directly with clients via Skype for Business, Phone and, E-mail.
  • Configuring Client implementations of our Mercury Intranet product.
  • Creating/supporting Power User solutions through PowerApps, Microsoft Flow, SharePoint Designer etc.
  • Installation, maintenance and, administration of internal hardware/software.
  • Client Consultancy.
  • Engaging with our developers to ensure a fluid support experience for our customers.
  • Ensuring service level agreements are met, and our customers are happy.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ SharePoint/Office 365 administrator experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ support experience.
  • Experience in MS Windows System Support.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal). Able to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences.
  • A strong sense of customer service and a demonstrable history of excellent customer-facing skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ SharePoint/Office 365 administrator experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ support experience.
  • Helpdesk / Technical support experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of SharePoint On-Premises administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Office 365 platform and Azure.
  • In-depth knowledge of Computer Hardware/Software and Networking.
  • Ability to develop clear, concise documentation.
  • Ability to train others and generous with time to pass on knowledge
  • Demonstratable knowledge of creating Power User solutions through PowerApps, Microsoft Flow, SharePoint Designer etc.
  • Relevant Microsoft Certifications will be beneficial.
  • Demonstrable methodical problem solving and excellent analytical skills.
  • Experience in establishing new processes and procedures as well as following those already in place and always looking for improvements.
