Alcumus required the Document Management capabilities of SharePoint 2013 Foundation to centralise documentation generated as part of their risk management and compliance solution (Info Exchange).
Their existing risk management solution is an internally developed software platform that includes an inbuilt security and identity system. A particular requirement of this was to ensure a single-sign on experience such that users accessing SharePoint from within Info Exchange would not be prompted for credentials repeatedly.
In addition, Alcumus required that the integration automatically created the required Databases, Site Collections and Document Libraries as and when they were needed by the risk management solution.

We provided technical consulting expertise on how best to integrate Alcumus' Info Exchange solution with SharePoint, adhering to Microsoft Best Practices to ensure that customer data was secure and manageable.
We worked closely with Alcumus' developer partner (Enable) to ensure that all the requirements were met and that the integration API was fully tested.

Custom Timer Jobs are used to automatically provision Content Databases, Sites, Libraries etc. when Alcumus sets up a new customer in Info Exchange.
SharePoint Document Management functionality is delivered through the use of iFrames within Info Exchange, allowing users to immediately benefit from features such as Document Libraries, Alerts, Check In/Check Out, metadata navigation and Search.
To enable a truly personalised experience for the customer, we provided custom branding through Composed Looks so the branding of the SharePoint iFrame matches that of their Info Exchange environment.
Our solution enabled Alcumus to seamlessly integrate SharePoint's Document Management capabilities with their Info Exchange product, providing feature rich functionality at minimal cost.
As a result of the integration, Alcumus' customers are now able to manage and control their compliance documents from a single location. In addition, less time is being spent locating documents thanks to SharePoint 2013's powerful Search capability. The experience has been further enhanced through applying metadata to their documents to help in organisation and discovery.
