Mercury Intranet for the National Portrait Gallery

The National Portrait Gallery use Mercury Intranet to Connect Staff Across Sites

The Business Problem

Following the launch of a project to transform the reach of the National Portrait Gallery in 2017, they required an Intranet solution that would be quick to implement and easy to use for the many staff involved in the organisation.
NPG needed an intranet that reflected their brand and connected employees across the charity, with the ability to easily create content and manage tags.

“I was impressed with how quickly id was able to get our intranet template and structure up and running. I found them to be flexible and accommodating to our needs.”

Nicky Dowland, Head of Information Technology

Our Approach

Using our Mercury Intranet Accelerator, we were able to deliver a cost-effective Intranet solution in a fraction of the time needed to build an Intranet from scratch. Our Search Rollup Web Parts allowed the National Portrait Gallery to easily display documents and content, bringing them to the forefront of the new Intranet.

Key Features

Our solution utilised the out-of-the-box functionality in SharePoint and our Mercury Intranet accelerator, reducing the time and cost of implementing the new Intranet. The addition of the NPG branding allows it to reflect the style and values of the organisation, creating an engaging environment for employees to stay connected across sites.

The Value Add

The News and Announcements functionality of Mercury will enable employees across the organisation to collaborate instantly and connect with one another.
